Our History


In 2002 Staffvetting was originally created as a division of Security Risk Management Ltd. This  division carried out personnel vetting for our clients including criminal record checks, employment history, credit searches, qualification checks meeting industry standards such as BS7858.



Staffvetting became the first company to introduce UKAS accreditation and certification around BS7858 providing a product certification for BS7858. This certification provides proof to stakeholders, employers etc. that the applicant has achieved the BS7858 standard being independently verified. This certification is overseen and approved by IPSA (International Professional Security Association).


Staffvetting pioneered the first successful applicant vetting checks for PCI DSS meeting the requirements of section 12.7 within the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.


Mid 2011 Staffvetting.com Limited de-merged from Security Risk Management creating a dedicated screening company able to the meet the demands of the customer and offer an improved and larger portfolio.


Nova Risk Management

In early 2012 Nova Risk Management was acquired by Staffvetting. Nova Risk Management is a best of breed background screening company and became the first dedicated screening company to be awarded  BS EN ISO9001:2008 and BS 7858:2006, NSI Gold. Since Staffvettings formation in the business has developed purely via referrals and recommendations.
